The GEMS Annual Exploration Seminar is a half-day seminar for girls in 4th and 5th grades of the Thompson R2-J school district and their parents. Each seminar features:

• Hands-on career presentations from a number of successful women professionals in our community. Each girl is able to attend three of these career presentations
• A Science Extravaganza
• A panel discussion for parents

The 13th Annual Career Exploration Seminar will be held on March 8, 2008 at Conrad Ball Middle School. The careers featured in this year's Career Exploration Seminar include:

Crime Scene Investigator	Pilot	Climate Ecologist
Economist	Veterinarian	Peace Corp Volunteer
Engineer	Statistician	Entomologist

Information and sign-up forms for the upcoming seminar will be delivered to the elementary schools in early February. There is a $5 fee to attend this event.
